Part of our traditional Hawaiian art collection, this fish hook tells the story of days gone by through beautiful, luminescent wood and bone. This hook was hand carved from Curly Hawaiian Koa, then the grain is filled, sanded, and finished with a laquer. The crowning detail is the cow bone cut and inlaid flawlessly into the wood, providing an intriguing contrast of color and texture.  Finally, the cordage is made from waxed line and hand woven around the hook, held together with beads that allow the wearer to adjust the length.
